Here you’ll find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions about staying with us. If you need any further information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
How many lodges are there onsite?
There are three lodges located within a small woodland setting
Is each lodge different?
The lodges all have a very similar footprint and the same amenities, however each lodge has its own unique design features.
Does each lodge have a fire?
Yes, each lodge has wood burner effect gas fire for that ultra cosy feel, remote control for ease of use. We just ask guests to kindly not leave this on overnight or when the lodge is vacant.
Does each lodge have a stone bath?
Yes, each lodge has a luxurious 360L stone bath on the balcony, with bath gel provided for aromatic bubbles.
Is EV Charging available?
Yes, we have one EV Charger onsite within our parking facility, available on first come first serve. Fees Apply.
What time is check in/check out?
Our standard check in time is 3pm and our departure time is 11am. You may upgrade these to 1pm check in and 1pm checkout for £20.00 each or £35.00 for both, contact us direct to check availability of this.
Is there air conditioning?
Yes, the lodges have full thermostatically controlled air conditioning systems. You can adjust the temperature to your needs.
Are the lodges suitable wheelchair friendly?
Whilst the lodges are not made to specific building regulations for wheelchair users, they do feature level access entrances and low level shower trays. Other than the steps down to the outdoor fire pit, it is all fairly level access.
What’s in the welcome hamper?
You will be greeted with a lovely little welcome hamper including 2no Eggs, 2no bread, 2no Butter, 2no Jam & a selection of tea and coffees, a perfect combination for your breakfast. Not forgetting some tasty Bothams biscuits to nibble away on the evening.
What do I need to bring?
We supply shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap. Please bring you own personal toiletries and perhaps a torch for exploring at night?
Are the lodges pet friendly?
No, we currently do not accept pets.
Is there an iron?
Yes, there is a small ironing board and iron for your use.
Where can we eat out?
There are a plethora of restaurants nearby in Whitby, however there are also 2 local pubs (The Wilson Arms, The Bridge Inn) and a lovely local restaurant ‘The Waterside’ in Ruswarp.
Can we get takeaway food delivered?
Ginos Takeaway in Whitby can deliver food to the premises. Others may deliver but please check directly with the restaurant/outlet.
Is there a pub nearby?
There are two pubs within a 5 minute drive. The Wilson Arms at Sneaton and The Bridge Inn at Ruswarp.
What does the kitchen provide?
The lodge kitchens provide the essentials: 2 burner hob, pans, dinnerware, utensils, fridge with integrated ice box, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and cleaning supplies.
What linen is provided?
Included is all the bed linen, a blanket for snuggling up by the fire or on the hammock outside, towels (bath and hand towel per guest), bath mat and hand towel per bathroom, dressing gowns, slippers and if you book The Wellness Hub you will receive an additional set of towels.
